Arizona Real Estate Agent Requirements

There are some requirements to get started as a real estate agent. To become a real estate agent in the State of Arizona, you must be at least 18 years old and pass the real estate agent licensing exam. A high school diploma or its equivalent, a GED, is not required to get an Arizona real estate salesperson's license. Yet, you must pass the real estate agent licensing exam.

While a career in real estate is enticing, there are some skills you need to have to be successful. These include excellent communication, listening, persuasion, negotiation, problem solving, and conflict management skills, among others.

A career in real estate can bring you a sound income. If you have the right skills and learn to make good decisions with your money, you can do well. However, be aware that the real estate market is subject to highs and lows. There will be times when sales are up and you can receive a steady stream of commissions, but there are also times of downturn.
